Marina Rust hails from Washington D.C. and attended Duke University, where she wrote her semi autobiographical novel titled "Gatherings" (published by Simon & Schuster in 1993). After the success of her critically acclaimed novel she began writing for Vogue, and started the column ''She's Gotta Have It.'' The ever so popular column featured her monthly shopping obsessions; which led to Marina becoming a contributing editor at Vogue for over 25 years.
